About Us

Who We Are

Tax Calculator 2026 is built and maintained by Sharjeel Safdar, a developer focused on making Pakistan’s tax rules easier to understand through free, simple calculator tools.

We’re not a law firm, and we’re not a tax consultancy — we’re a small, independent project built for one reason: Pakistan’s tax slabs and rules are scattered across FBR notifications, Finance Acts, and SROs, and most people just want a quick, honest number to work with.

What We Do

We build free online calculators — currently covering business income tax, freelancer tax, and general income tax in Pakistan — designed around the latest FBR-notified slabs for each tax year.

Every rate and slab used in our calculators and guides is cross-checked against publicly available sources, including the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, Finance Act updates, and FBR notifications, before it goes live. When rules change with a new budget or Finance Act, we update our tools to match.

What We’re Not

To be upfront: we are not registered tax practitioners, chartered accountants, or FBR-affiliated consultants. Our tools are built to give you a reliable estimate — not a filing-ready, legally binding calculation.

Tax law has exceptions, sector-specific rules, and edge cases that a general calculator can’t fully capture. For your actual tax return, final tax planning, or anything involving real money and real deadlines, we always recommend confirming with a registered tax consultant or checking directly at fbr.gov.pk.

Our Approach

  • Accuracy first — Every slab and rate is checked against multiple current sources before publishing, and rechecked when tax laws change.
  • Plain language — No unnecessary jargon. If a term needs explaining, we explain it.
  • Free, no sign-up — All calculators are free to use, with no account or payment required.
  • Honest limitations — If a calculator can’t account for something (like super tax, advance tax, or sector-specific exemptions), we say so clearly rather than giving you a false sense of precision.
